Why newcomers struggle with financing.
Banks require 2+ years of Canadian credit history. Newcomers start at zero regardless of financial history abroad.
Credit doesn’t transfer
Excellent credit from your home country doesn’t follow you to Canada
Banks want history
Most banks require 2+ years of Canadian credit — you’re starting fresh
We bridge the gap
Specialty lenders approve based on income and status, not credit history
All immigration statuses welcome.
As long as you have income and legal status, we can help.
Newcomer questions.
I just arrived — can I still get approved?
Yes. Many of our newcomer approvals happen within the first 6 months of arrival. What matters most is having a job and legal status to work or study.
What documents do I need?
Typically: proof of income, government ID, proof of status (PR card, work permit, or study permit), and proof of address. Some lenders also accept a letter from your employer.
Will my home country credit help?
Unfortunately no — credit history doesn’t transfer between countries. But our lenders focus on your Canadian income and status, not credit score.
Will this help me build Canadian credit?
Absolutely! A car loan is one of the best ways to build Canadian credit history. Each payment is reported to credit bureaus, helping you establish a score.
